Mua Haul

MUA HAUL!!!!!

So after a bit of a wait I finally recieved my Mua products! YAY! And I have to say that I am extremely pleased with what I have. So lets get into it!
1. Mua Matte Foundation - Shade 1 Soft Sand

I really like the texture and coverage of this product. It has a slight whipped cream texture that applies really easily. For $1.74 AUD you cannot go wrong! It has a medium to full coverage, easily build-able, isn't heavy on the skin and doesn't break my skin out! It doesn't settle into fine lines around the eyes or forehead and i just really like it!
2. Shimmer Kisses Bronzer Quad

In this quad you will find a light golden ivory shade, a light peach, a pink toned mauve and a bright golden toned peach. These do smell like chalk and in order to get the best colour pay off i suggest using your fingers to push through the first little layer which I found stopped me from getting the full colour and shine for highlighting. I do not find that using this quad as a bronzer or blush would work all that well but they are fantastic for highlighting and using as eye-shadows. The Mauve pink is the hardest to use in my opinion as this is not a very pigmented colour and doesn't loose much of the chalkiness that the rest do not really have. I would definately purchase this again because I really like the shades apart from the mauve and for $2.58... wow!
3. Mua Fashionista Double Take Lipstick-Atomic Tangerine

I wish I had of purchased this product in every shade possible! seriously, these lipsticks are so moisturising and long-lasting and just plain gorgeous! They apply effortlessly and the creamy formula doesn't dry out your lips but actually leaves them super hydrated. IN LOVE!!!!

4. I purchased two of the Mua Nail Polishes in shades:

Ameretto Crush-

Frozen Yogurt-

These polishes are great, 2-3 applications leaves you with a well pigmented and perfect looking nails! I love the colours that I purchased and the way they look on my nails! They wear pretty well and can easily be touched up un-noticeably. Would definitely recommend, Just a little side note however they apply darker than what they look in the bottles, as seen in above pics.

5. Mua Fashionista Maxi Volume (big lash impact) in Ultra Black

This mascara will give you MAXI sexy voluptuous lashes. TIP: Wiggle product at the base of the lash and sweep upwards!
I admit I am a bit of a mascara addict! Seriously I have almost lost count of how many I own, and yet I continue to purchase more! Why? I have no excuse... This mascara cost $2.58, by far the cheapest mascara I have ever purchased and at this very moment in my top two favorites that I use daily! It has kicked out the Rimmel Scandaleyes Show Off  mascara and is now accompanying the Physicians Formula Organic Jumbo Lash Mascara that I had to purchase after listening to Tati - GlamlifeGuru rave about it!

I am so pleased with all the products I purchased from MUA and will definitely be purchasing more in the future! Highly recommend this Brand! especially to Australians as make-up here costs so much and the shipping from this site is extremely reasonable!

Inspiration

Recently I have been addicted to YouTube. I have constantly had my eyes glued to the screen of my laptop watching beauty tutorials, reviews and routines. I have found something that I am extremely interested in. So, I went out to the shops, looked online and have started to create a bigger collection of beauty products, AND it makes me feel great.
So the reason I am starting this blog is to share with everyone, well whoever takes the time to read it, beauty information  I think you need to know. This means product reviews, links to other sites I think would be worth looking at, new products I fall in love with and MUCH MUCH MORE!
Well, I think it's time to get into it!

Bourjois Paris Haul

So while on one of my weekly trips to priceline, okay sometimes more like daily, I was browsing the aisle and looking at all the great deals. I came across the Bourjois area and looked at what the sale was. They currently have 25% off the whole range as well as a couple free gifts. First up is of you
spend $19 or more in one transaction on Bourjois products at Priceline and receive a FREE gift valued at $45!The other is if you purchase the Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation you receive a free Bourjois Healthy Balance Unifying Powder.
On my first trip I ended up purchasing:
Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation- In shade 51- Light Vanilla
First up, this smells so good! It's slightly strange that a foundation can actually smell nice and fruity.
It offers light to medium coverage but is extremely long lasting, it leaves your skin looking hydrated and glowing without looking oily and I also found that even in my t-zone the foundation did not create a oily appearance which is rare. It gives your skin such a soft and smooth feel it is gorgeous! the packaging says that it includes fruit therapy, so i did my research: Apricot for radiance. Melon for hydration. Apple to protect your youth. It is also enriched with crystalline pigments to even out the complexion while letting in the natural light for that healthy looking glow. Its soft, fresh texture easily blends onto the skin for a comfortable flawless finish leaving you with beautiful, radiant and hydrated skin. Did I mention the SMELL! yum! Oh, also I do not reccomend this for super oily skin as they are hydrating and and may make your skin look too oily, Just remember everyones skin is different, I did not find it too oily but...
So, because i purchased the foundation I received the Bourjois Healthy Balance Unifying Powder for free. However the sales assistant said that I was not allowed to have the powder in my shade as the sticker had been removed, so they gave me the light bronze which is just a completely wrong colour for my skin. I thought that I could find other uses for it but.. I can't. However it was free and I ended up giving it to my  mum.

As far as this product goes I do not have much to say... The smell is still better than most powders but because I am not using this product personally I won't comment on it any further.
The free gift I am super happy with! It is in the most gorgeous packaging! Like, seriously how cute is that can?!!!! Keep this in mind that they were both full sized products as well. So wow!  Anyway... So inside was:
1. Bourjois Flower Perfection Translucent smoothing primer- "correcting airbrush action, beautified skin" This stuff feels like nothing i have ever felt before. At first touch it feels like a gel/cream but as you wipe it into your skin in turns into the most gentle powder texture you have ever felt. It really just glides on the skin and feels in the lines and softens them until they basically disappear. I think its safe to say that I love this stuff. However if you do have oily skin i would not recommend this as by the end of the day my t-zone does become shiny and this is the cause of that.

2. Part two of the free gift I love just as equally. It was the Bourjois Blush in shade 34/ Golden Rose. This is a baked blush and it is just the most perfect natural glowing blush. It is now my go to blush and I am in love. You can use a small amount to add a natural barely there tint and glow or add more to give a splash of gorgeous golden rose colour.
*this picture make the colour look more of a light baby pink, however it is more of a medium dusty rose with a ever so subtle gold tint.

On my second round I purchased the Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Gel Foundation- In shade 52- Vanilla
There isn't a price difference between the products just a formula difference. I really like both formulas, but there is a difference. For people with oliy skin i would recommend the serum as this gives more of a mattifying finish  and for those with dry skin this may enhance that dryness. The normal foundation definitely has more of a glowing finish that on oily skin could come across and being over oily however on dryer looking skin it does give off a nice natural radiance.  The reason for having this in shades 51 and 52 is because if found that this serum had a lighter colour payoff than the normal foundation and the 51 in that formula was too light for me. When i purchased this I also received another free gift with the same products as before.
***25% off offer has now finished so these products are again full price at $32, however the free gift is still going until stocks run out ***

Recently i have also signed up to PINCHme. This site offers free samples in return for feedback. You have access to one sample per week as a newbie but as you gain more points this can change to one per day. I understand that some people would rather not review products but, obviously, I do not have problem with it. I will keep you posted on how i like this site. Starting off with the HEAD AND SHOULDERS ITCHY SCALP CARE. This site is not only beauty and health products however, but I love trying a range of new things!

Recent Purchases

Hi again.
So today it's just a quick post. Only a couple things to talk about.
First up:
Prestige My Brow Duo (in Matte Silk and Shimmer Gold)
So, I have only tried this a couple times but I like, not love but like. It is a very similar feel and texture to Models Prefer Infinite Colour Shadow Pencil in 'Pop the Bubbly'. It's soft and creamy, the colours are nice and I've used the Shimmer Gold as a shadow it easy to blend. The Matte silk works nice as an overall base.It is a good product but it is very similar too many others on the market at the moment.

My next few purchases are all from the same brand, Formula 10.0.6
I purchased the Deep Down Detox, No Time to Shine and Pores Be Pure.

First off they all smell great!
They all leave your skin  feeling really fresh and clean. They really get quite deep into your pores and get all the bad stuff out. I did find however that the Deep Down Detox did have a bit of a sting to it. I like them and I think I might be purchasing the full size of Pores be Pure soon.

I also purchased Lush's Love Lettuce Facial Mask.
I really love how subtle the exfoliation is when remove this mask. It feels lovely and refreshing on and then when it comes time to remove you are able to get rid of the green mask and exfoliate and be left with a real clean feeling! The only down fall is that with a few other facial masks to try i was unable to use all of this product as you really do not need to apply that much! as the sales assistant in the store said "what is the point over applying product over product, it would be wasteful."

New Product Purchases

So, this is just a quick post so you guys can see some of the new products I have just purchased. There will be small reviews as I have only used each one a couple times.
First up we have Australis Make-Up Finishing Spritz.

So the packaging says: "Discover the worlds best kept beauty secret... prevents make-up from fading... sets your look firmly in place for long-lasting wear."
I think this product cost $11.95? (AUD) I found it at my local beauty warehouse.
Well, I have only used this probably three times now, but... I'm not really noticing too much of a difference. I have combination/oily skin so my make-up doesn't usually stay too long, however after using this it has been looking less patching as the day progresses. So I am going to continue with this for a while to see if there is room for it in my daily routine.
Next up is Models Prefer Infinite Colour Shadow Pencil in 'Pop the Bubbly'

'Pop the Bubbly' is the champagne colour in the middle right. I have only purchased the one colour but I will be buying more. It is super creamy and easily blend-able, there is nothing worse than an eye product that is hard to blend and feels like you're ripping the skin...
This product cost about $9? just at the local Priceline.
It has quickly become a fave of mine and also helps to make me look more awake which is always a bonus! This product gets a thumbs up! (I did try the blue in the store, sadly they only had a tester so i couldn't purchase, but i was an amazing colour!)

Maybelline NY, Super Stay 24hr Concealer.
I have this in shade Ivory. I have been wearing it under my eyes and it feels lovely. I use the applicator to apply a v shape under my eyes then blend with my finger. It definitely stays well, I don't know about 24hrs, because well I wouldn't keep my make-up on that long but it stays until I take it off. I picked this up for $7 however this is a bargin, RRp is $14-15 AUD.

Next up, Lush Grease Lightning Spot Treatment.

So this stuff works wonders! I had a massive break out and literally two days later it is almost gone! That is amazing for me! You can pick this up for $13 AUD, However my local Lush store didn't stock it so you can also order online, $7 extra for postage though. But still for $20 all up this stuff will last ages! I small pump gives you more than enough for spot treatment. I really lobe this stuff! I have seen so many people on YouTube raving about it that have to be super careful with there skin because on acne and I had to try and and I am so glad I did!

Last but Definitely not least is Rimmel Scandaleyes Show Off Mascara

This brush is slightly unusual, however preforms amazingly and definitely  stays true to the promises on the packaging as it well and truly volumizes, lifts and lengthens your lashes! Also doesn't the packaging look Fab! This is my new everyday mascara, I love because you can really build on it, you can wear it through the day and then give your lashes an extra bang for a nice night time look!

Well thats all for this recent purchases, Hope you guys liked it!
